Carlton Shepherd Jones

Carlton Shepherd Jones, 53, passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2011. He was born on June 21, 1958 in Lynchburg, VA., attended public schools, and graduated from E.C. Glass High School. Carlton graduated from the University of Virginia in the class of 1980 with a degree in Economics. He proudly played on the University’s baseball team throughout his career. Carlton was a Senior Vice President of CB Ellis in Richmond, VA.

Carlton was preceded in death by his father Dr. James Barrett Jones and a nephew William Anthony Curran. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Robin Killeen Jones, his three beloved children, Emily Shepherd Jones, Robert Carlton Jones, and Michael Killeen Jones, his mother Joan Shepherd Jones of Lynchburg, VA. his brother James Barrett Jones Jr and wife Kathryn Blair Jones, his sister Susan Jones Randolph and husband Richard Boynton Fitz Randolph and his 10 nieces and 12 nephews, Barrett Hightower and Ashley East; Lillian Harner, Henry, Arden, and Calloway Jones; Ryan and Anna Murphy; Matthew, Clayton and Killeen Rivers; Christopher, Sean, and Griffin Connor; Jack, Bridget, Charlie, and Gillian Curran; Thomas, Katherine, Abigail, and Robert Landry.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2011, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. There will be a Memorial Mass at St Edwards Church in 2700 Dolfield Dr. Richmond, VA 23235. September 30, 2011 at 10:30 am.
