He was preceded in death by his parents, Evans and Ruth Keene.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Keene; children, Jeffrey (Andrea) and Mary (Kevin); grandchildren, Alex and Lillith; and his sister, Sandra (Royce).
He was born in Pulaski, VA and spent his childhood in Gassaway, WV before moving to Richmond. He enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together in his own way. He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Monday, May 13 at Greenwood Memorial Park.
