

David was a cherished presence in the community and the central figure at Mill Quarter Plantation Golf Club in Powhatan, where he served as general manager for nearly 40 years. Known for his steady leadership, generous heart, and easygoing manner, he touched the lives of countless golfers, colleagues, and friends. A pillar of the local Powhatan County economy, David provided dozens of young men their first jobs.
He is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 34 years, Tracy Leigh Daniels; his children, Desirae Jayne Daniels and David Lee Daniels; his granddaughter Charlotte Yvonne Daniels; and his parents, David K. Daniels and Diane S. Daniels.
David is also survived by his siblings, Debi Daniels Blackburn, Diana Daniels, and Doug
Daniels and his wife Sara; and his brother-in-law Donald Lee Crook Jr. and his wife Kim. Affectionately known as “Uncle Bacon”, he held a special place in the hearts of his nieces and nephew: Kaila Blackburn, Alisa Blackburn Rivas, Samantha Cochran, Bill Cochran, Kira Cochran, and Darby Daniels; and his great niece Isabella Rivas.
A memorial service will be held at Woody’s Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 1pm (12pm viewing begins), followed by a procession to Hollywood Cemetery for graveside burial at 3pm.
A celebration of David’s life will take place this fall at Mill Quarter Plantation Golf Course, where family and friends will gather to honor his legacy.
