SAWYER, David Alan, 50, of Parker, Colorado, formerly of Virginia, died November 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Virginia Sawyer. Survivors include his wife, Amie Winn; son, Bryce Sawyer; brothers, Herman "Buddy" Sawyer Jr. and John Sawyer (wife Lee Ann); sisters, Jennifer Sawyer and Laurie Golden (husband Danny); and nieces and nephews, Kristina, Justin, Joshua, Kristian, Alexander, Brandon and Zachary. He was a friend to many. David was a graduate of UVA, where he earned a masters degree in civil engineering. He was working as a Professional Engineer in Questa, New Mexico for ASI Construction. David enjoyed the outdoors, skiing and sports of all kind. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday.
