Donald Wayne Bane

Donald Bane passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband to the late Judy Bane, father, grandfather, and friend whose steady presence and quiet strength shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Donald was the proud father of two sons, Eric and Jason. He welcomed his daughters-in-law, Missy and Emma, into the family with warmth and genuine affection.

Nothing brought him greater joy than being “Papa” to his grandchildren, Abby, McKenna, Alex, Riley, and Noah. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Donald will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family. Whether offering fishing tips, how to "fix it" knowledge, thoughtful advice, sharing a laugh, or simply being present when it mattered most, he left a lasting impression on those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the values he instilled in them.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Woody’s Funeral Home in Midlothian, Virginia on March 29th at 3:00pm. A celebration of life will follow at the Tarrington Clubhouse, where loved ones will share memories and honor the life he lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Breath Matters in his memory.

Donald will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
