Doris Lohr Garnett

Born December 16, 1930 in Orange, VA, departed this life to be with her savior on February 10, 2018 in Henrico, VA.

Doris was an avid golfer, bridge player, puzzle builder and card game player. Anything she did, she did with energy and passion. She was preceded in death by the unadulterated love of her life and greatest focus of her passion, her husband of 62 years, Wilson B. Garnett (d. 2014). Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother of Pamela (Schendt, d. 2000), Clarke and Blanton and amazing grandmother to Brad Schendt (Raleigh, NC), Katie Schendt Drumheller (Richmond) , Brian Garnett (d. 2000), Jameson Garnett (Richmond), Elizabeth Garnett Hasbrouck, Kathleen Garnett and Caitlin Garnett (all of St. Petersburg, FL) and caring great grandmother of Annabelle Schendt, Hunter Drumheller, Tannon and Madeline Hasbrouck. Doris/”Grammy” will be missed by us all but we rejoice in her reunion with her beloved husband, daughter and grandson in heaven where they all reside in the glory and majesty of our savior and redeemer.

A celebration of life will be held at Salisbury Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 3rd at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Online condolences may be conveyed the family at www.woodyfuneralhome.com.
