

Dot was born on February 22, 1931 to the late Nelson M. Hunter and Lily T. Hunter. She grew up in Zuni. VA. Dot was a graduate of Windsor High School and Mary Washington College. She also earned a graduate degree from The University of Virginia.
Dot was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Warren Britt. She is survived by her sons, Nelson E. (Donna) and Warren H. (Lisa); her granddaughters, Mary B. Paulus (Rodney) and Michelle B. Mason (Jonathan); her great-grandsons Hunter T. Paulus, Cameron B. Mason and Jackson K. Mason; nieces and nephews; her furry child Furosha and numerous furry grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dot was a devoted member of Bon Air United Methodist Church. She frequently taught her Sunday School class, providing her own written materials to supplement her vast knowledge of the Bible. She retired from Chesterfield County Public Schools as a teacher. Dot made a real impact on the lives of so many students throughout her teaching years. After retirement from teaching, she worked in her son's law firm where she handled the firm's books for many years.
Dot loved nature, learning and spending time with friends and family. Her sons, daughters-in-law, granddaughters and great-grandsons completed her life. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and thoughtfulness.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 10 at 11am followed by services at noon at Bon Air United Methodist Church, 1645 Buford Road, N. Chesterfield, VA 23235.
