Eduardo Ella Hicaro

HICARO, Eduardo Ella, 62, of Chesterfield, passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente G. Hicaro; and brother, Cesar Hicaro. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Maria; children, Fabian, Eduardo Jr., Marielle and Liza; grandchildren, Francis and Sophia; his mother, Soledad E. Hicaro; brothers, Rizalito (Eleonora) and Manuel (Teresita); sisters, Marilou Bailey (Walter), Enriqeuta Hicaro-Non (Godofredo), Teresa Caneza (Carlos) and Margarita Mohta (Rumy); nephews, Eric and Cyrus Mohta, Manuel Hicaro Jr., Chester Caneza and Alvin Hicaro (Sylvia); nieces, Raphaela Hicaro (Garrett) and Mariejer Tyndall (Erik); grandniece, Aubrey Tyndall; and grandnephew, Austin Tyndall. He graduated from The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy with a B.S. degree in Marine Transportation. He retired as a marine chief engineer in 2010. In 2011, he moved from the Philippines to Richmond where he lived until his death.

His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
