ADAMS, F. Joseph, of Moseley, passed away suddenly on September 7, 2016, at the age of 70. He was a devoted and loving husband to Diane, his wife of 43 wonderful years. Always thoughtful, helpful and considerate, he was Diane’s rock. He was his daughter, Kimberly Jo’s hero with a heart of gold. He was her advisor, her biggest supporter and her all around Mr. Fix-It. He taught her to live with integrity, kindness and to always do the right thing. He was a doting “Tata” to his granddaughter, his “little sweetheart”, Eloise (almost 4). He cared for her 5 days a week since birth and tried to teach her everything he knew. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite son-in-law, Romain, at his tennis matches. He worked his entire career at C&P and AT&T and retired after 34 years of service in 1998. Joe loved spending time with his family and standing on the shoreline of any beach. He also enjoyed his evening drink of Old Smugger Scotch, always in a plastic Solo cup. He is survived by his wife, Diane Adams; daughter Kimberly Jo Adams Ambert and her husband, Romain; his granddaughter, Eloise; his mother, Bobbie Watkins; his sister, Leone (Art) Coddington; brother, Chic (Joan) Crown; brothers-in-law, Randy (Barbara) Roessler and Ronnie (Audette) Roessler; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Crown and Billy Crown. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family requests no flowers. Joe always believed in being good and helping others. Please do something kind in honor of his memory. Online condolences to WoodyFuneralHome.com.
