Florine Sherry Williams

Florine “Flo” Sherry Williams, age 80, passed away on January 13, 2021. She was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 5, 1941 to Russell Charles Sherry and Elsie Johnson Sherry. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband of 42 years, Geraldon “GO” Otis Williams, a brother, Russell “Butch” Sherry, and grandson, Adam Rowe. She is survived by her two daughters, two cousins, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her daughters, Leslie Cocchiola and her husband, Bill, and Laurie Rowe and her husband, Greg. Leslie’s family includes Flo’s grandchildren Justin Cocchiola and his wife Rebecca, Michael Cocchiola and his wife Sarah; and two great-granddaughters Abigail and Kathryn. Laurie’s family includes Lindsey Hockaday and husband Gregory; Katelyn Rowe and fiancé Kevin Bowery; Kendall Brown and husband Anthony, and great-grandson Adam. Two very special cousins, Sue Davan and Penny Holt whom she loved as daughters. Two special nieces Lisa and Michelle and her sister in law Pat Sherry. A private ceremony will be held in the Palmer Chapel at Hollywood Cemetery, followed by interment in Palmer Chapel Mausoleum, where Flo will be laid to rest next to her husband, the love of her life. Flo was a Richmonder through and through, and will lie in rest facing the beautiful James River. She was a life-long member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and the best mother and grandmother that a family could be blessed with.
