

WOODWORTH, Frederick Ray, 88, of Midlothian, Va., passed away on March 11, 2013. Born on October 28, 1924 in Lynn, Mass., to Raymond and Olive Woodworth, Fred grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1942. He served in U.S. Navy during World War II and was a graduate of Boston University. His distinguished FBI career began in 1951. He retired in 1978. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Robina (Ruby) Christison, daughter of John and Nancy Christison of Lynn, Mass. He was an active life-time member of the American Legion and served them honorably. He loved his family, the Redskins and the Red Sox. He is survived by his children, John Woodworth of Norfolk, Va., Lee W. Moore (Randy) of Midlothian, Va., James Woodworth (Michelle) of Chesapeake, Va. and Leslie Frye of Ashburn, Va.; and his siblings, Betty Pendill, of Oceanside, Calif., Richard Woodworth, (Anita), of Peabody, Mass. and Barbara Flynn of Lynn, Mass. "Papa Fred" also leaves ten grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and cousins, nieces and nephews. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to: Chesapeake Public Safety Memorial, P.O.
