

George was predeceased by his parents, Frank J. and Grace R. Morgan; and his stepdaughter, Mary Garrison (Mark).
He is survived by his second wife, Ruth Tibbetts Morgan; as well as his first wife, Barbara Morgan and their two children, Sheri Goding (Russ) and Michael Morgan; as well as three stepdaughters, Susan Tambourine (Eric), Emily Wright (Kevin), and Sarah Whetstone; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Hayley, and Brady; and eight step grandchildren.
George spent most of his life in the Richmond area. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School where he was in the Cadet Corps, and a graduate of the University of Richmond. George served six months in the Army and later served in the Reserves. He had a long accounting career at Reynolds Metals Company, followed by many years at the Virginia State Corporation Commission. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as yardwork, swimming, camping at Myrtle Beach and Lake Gaston, and golf at the Stonehenge Country Club where he was a member.
George will be privately interned at the University of Richmond Columbarium.
