WILLIAMS, Helen Mary, died January 7, 2017 in Richmond, Va. She was born April 28, 1917 in Minden, West Virginia. Helen was pre-deceased by her husband of fifty five years, James W. Williams. She is survived by her children, Sandra Shewmake and Steve Williams; grandchildren, Sandra Shewmake Latuche, Steve Shewmake, Blake Williams and Lauren Williams; and great-grandchildren, Allison and James Shewmake, Isabella Latuche, Alex Daniel and Kalie Cregg; her sister, Mrs. Sophia Wise and her step-son, James M. Williams. Helen was a school teacher, retiring from Chesterfield County Schools. A visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00-12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, at Woody Funeral Home-Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va. 23113, followed by a 1:00 p.m. graveside service at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23832.
