Henrik Dons Ravn

He was born to Sigrid and Poul Dons Ravn on April 8, 1936 on the family farm in Dons, Denmark.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Knud Dons Ravn and Jan Dons Ravn.

Henrik is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anne Birgitte Kaiser Ravn and their children Mette Dons Pedersen (Robert Sandholdt Pedersen) and Thomas Dons Ravn (Elizabeth Harrison Smith Ravn). He cherished spending time with his three grandchildren, Christian Dons Pedersen, Nikolaj Dons Pedersen, and Charlotte Harrison Dons Ravn. He is also survived by his sister Bodil Dons Vanderlinde and Klaus Dons Ravn.

Henrik loved adventures. After graduating from business school (Aarhus Købmandskole) in Denmark he moved to Rhodesia, Africa where he ran a tobacco farm, walked across the Sahara Desert, and travelled throughout Africa. His adventures included living in Rome, Italy as a tour guide, Canada, and various other places. In 1965 he started his 30 year career at Philip Morris that took him to South America. In Venezuela he met his wife, Anne Birgitte, at Christmas who was visiting her sister from Denmark. Together they shared adventures living in the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Miami, and Richmond. Every summer was spent in their wonderful summerhouse in Ebeltoft, Denmark.

Henrik’s, Far’s, Morfar’s and Farfar’s positive outlook on life and smile will be greatly missed.
