KOONS, Henry Beiler, 85, of N. Chesterfield, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Susan R. Koons; two sons, Robert H. Koons and his wife, Emily of Westminster, MD. and Stephen R. Koons and his wife, Donna of Alexandria, VA; one daughter, Deborah Whitener and her husband, Larry of Springfield, VA.; sisters, Margaret Bixler and Jean Yale; five grandchildren, Douglas, Elizabeth, Amanda, Andrew and Zachary. Mr. Koons was a member and elder of Salisbury Presbyterian Church, a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired employee of AT&T, and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary and James River Lions Club. A memorial service will be held 11am on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, 13621 Salisbury Rd. Midlothian, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
