
McCormack, Isabel Linker, 87 of Midlothian, Va. passed away August 14, 2011 at her home at Brandermill Woods. She was born in Mooresville, N.C. and grew up in Davidson, N.C. where she was one of the first women to attend Davidson College. She was a resident of Birmingham, Ala. for more than 50 years and served as President of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital Auxiliary and Chairman of the Alabama Council of Hospital Auxiliaries. Mrs. McCormack was a member of South Highland Presbyterian Church in Birmingham where she served as church treasurer and trustee, and received a Presbyterian Women Life Member Award. When she moved to Midlothian in 2009, she became an affiliate member of Bon Air Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband, George McCormack, and her daughter, Sally Bingham. She is survived by her brother, Bill Linker of Statesville, N.C.; son, Ted McCormack and his wife, Cathy, of Midlothian; son-in-law, John Bingham of Birmingham; granddaughters, Elizabeth Ford of Midlothian, Molly Steele of Lorton, Va., and Grace Bingham of Birmingham; grandson, Graham Bingham of Birmingham; and four great grandchildren.
