He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Marie Stout. Jack is also survived by his Son, Chris Stout and his wife Samantha Stout, as well as his Daughter Kasey James and her husband Chris James. Also by his Grandchildren, Christian Evans, Madison Stout, Mackenzie James, Lincoln James, Bentley James, and Great-Grandchild Harper Evans.
Jack was born to Novil and Rosa Stout and has been blessed to be part of a large and supportive family. He rarely missed an opportunity to go home or connect with his nine brothers and sisters. Shortly after meeting and marrying Marie, he served as a Combat Medic for the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Upon returning to Virginia, he resumed the life he had left behind as a Surveyor for VDOT. He continued to work and thrive there for over 40 years and retired as an Engineering Survey Supervisor. He always took the time to speak and support the people around him, he was loved by everyone that had the opportunity to know him. He never missed a chance to talk shop, help a friend or chat about his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
His Family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home (1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia 23113) on Friday, March 8th, 2024, at 2pm, with services and a celebration of his life to follow at 3pm.
In lieu of Flowers, please support the American Legion Post 55, PO Box 55, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22404.
