Jane Lambert Kidd

KIDD, Jane Lambert, 86, of Westminster Canterbury, Richmond, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Alexander "Pete" Kidd; brother, Andrew Leigh Lambert. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jack Kidd; daughters, Elizabeth Baird (Tom) and Rebecca Kidd, all of Richmond; granddaughters, Martha Rogers (JC) and Wynn Norris (Joe); and one great-granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Rogers. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. Jane enjoyed cooking and entertaining with her family and friends. Even as her memory began to fade, she was still interested in what was going on with her children and grandchildren. She lived her last years in the moment with all the wonderful memories, and with the love of family and friends. She devoted most of her life to assisting the mentally impaired both individually and through various organizations. The family would like to thank the staff at Westminster Canterbury for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in her honor to the Greater Richmond ARC, 3600 Saunders Ave., Richmond, Va. 34386. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 noon Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Graveside services will be private.
