Janice Hendrick Barnes Stanley, 92, of Midlothian, Va., passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Janice was born in Portsmouth, Va. on November 22, 1919. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Barnes; sister, Jeanne Hendrick Hall; and brother, James T. Hendrick. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Clyde H. Stanley Sr.; two sons, Bob Barnes and daughter-in-law, Laura, and Chris Barnes; four grandchildren, Lexi, Katie, Adrienne and Harrison; and a host of nieces and nephews. Janice was a founding member of Crestwood Presbyterian Church and a loving mother and wife. She was a former employee of Reynolds Metals and the old Tredegar Iron Works in Richmond. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, and where funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
