LEWIS, Jean Hancock went to be with our Lord on November 17, 2013 at the age of 88. She is survived by two devoted daughters, Paula L. Harris and Lee Ann Williams; two grandchildren, Stephen Harris and Hope Hall; one great-grandson, Bryson Hall; one niece, donna D. Rilee; two devoted sons-in-law, Charles Harris and David Williams, all of the Midlothian area. Jean graduated from the old John Marshall High School, class of 1942. She was a true Virginia lady and an American patriot. Jean and her two daughters ran Paula’s Antiques for over thirty-five years. Jean was a top million dollar jewelry salesperson and diamond consultant for several local jewelers. She loved old dolls, teddy bears, Mickey Mouse, pretty jewelry, and traveling. Our mother was admired for her brave will, and we would like to thank the staff of Lucy Corr Village, especially the nurses and CNAs of Bermuda and Matoaca units for all their help and kindness. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jean will be laid to rest at Dale Memorial Park beside her husband, Mr. Sterling L. Lewis, in a private family service. Online condolences to WoodyFuneralHome.com.
