She was a retired Instructional Assistant for Chesterfield County Public Schools, and a member of Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church.
Jeanne is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years Carl Rutgers, her children; Jeanne Martin and husband Don, Lizabeth Rutgers and husband Scott Wheeler, and Thomas Rutgers and wife Farley. There are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother whose family meant the world to her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday June 16, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Woody Funeral Home 1020 Huguenot Rd. Midlothian, VA. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm following the visitation. Interment will be private.
