John William McCrocklin

McCROCKLIN, John W. "Jack," 95, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 8, 2019. A Navy Veteran, Jack served in the Pacific during WWII. Jack moved his family from Louisville, Kentucky in the mid 60’s to Midlothian, VA where he built his home in the Salisbury subdivision. He took early retirement from his sales job and enjoyed family life, travel, yard work, and cooking some of his famous home recipes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth McCrocklin and his daughter, Kathy Gardner (Joe). He is survived by his sons, John R. McCrocklin (Lenore), of Boca Raton, Florida and Robert W. McCrocklin (Carolyn); grandchildren, Joseph Brian McCrocklin (Lauren), Dr. Morgan Cheatham (Scott), Miles McCrocklin, Shannon McCrocklin, Tyrus Gardner and Jacob Gardner; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Tessa and Tripp Cheatham and Nolan McCrocklin. Visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113. Graveside service for immediate family to be held Saturday, June 15 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richmond Friends of the Homeless.
