
BRYANT, Lori Elissa Anne, 62, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, after an inspiring and courageous battle with a prolonged illness. Lori was born October 25, 1953, in Englewood, N.J. to Howard and Lillian Wesley. Lori was a 1980 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where she focused on special education. Lori's great love was for children and she continued to be involved with Children's Ministries at the Community of Grace Church until her passing. Lori has been a long time member of the Community of Grace Church, where she served as a teacher, counselor, choir member, and Awana leader. A prolific writer, Lori sent hundreds of cards and notes of encouragement to those in need even while enduring great personal suffering herself. In 2013, Lori received national recognition from the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches for her faithful service of more than 30 years. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, mentor, and church member, Lori's bravery through the many difficult challenges in her life touched all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Lori is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert Bryant; son, Jeffrey Bryant and his wife, Cameron; daughter, Whitney Bryant; mother, Lillian Wesley-Hall; and brothers, John, David and Thomas Wesley. Visitation will be held at the Community of Grace Church, Cranbeck Rd. on Saturday, January 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Community of Grace Church 2 p.m. Sunday, January 11. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lori Bryant Memorial Children's Fund in care of the Community of Grace Church.
