Margaret Miller Carter

CARTER, Margaret M., born October 17, 1917, died peacefully at Spring Arbor of Salisbury, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Carter, and her son, Thomas E. Carter. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Robert Vecchiolla; grandchildren, Thomas E. Carter II wife, Grace Fountain, Austin, Texas, Joseph P. Carter wife Jody, Huntington Beach, California, Heather Gibbs, Richmond, Virginia; great-grandchildren Dylan T. Carter, Nash R. Carter, Huntington Beach, California, Thomas E. Carter III, Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her loving daughter-in-law and husband, Donna Carter, Julian Padowicz, Hampton, Virginia; a number of wonderful nephews and nieces; and many dear friends. A special thanks and acknowledgement to the staff at Spring Arbor of Salisbury for their loving and tender care of Margaret for the past four years and most especially the last two weeks. Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home 10120 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia 23113. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors at a date to be determined.
