
CASEY, Margaret Ann Carr, of Midlothian, passed away on March 19, 2017 after a struggle with congestive heart failure and chronic kidney disease. She is survived by her sons Robert E. Casey of Midlothian, VA and James W. Casey of Orlando, FL, daughter Susan Casey Tzaferis of Gainesville, VA, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and her younger sister Bobby Carr Holland. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 ½ years, James Earl Casey, her parents Robert M. Carr and Lela Smith Carr, and elder sister Christine Carr Stone. She was born in Wallace , NC on June 27, 1930 and remained there until she and Earl were married on September 26, 1953. While being a homemaker for most of her life, she worked for the Fairfax County, VA public school system for many years serving in the cafeteria. She moved to the Richmond area along with her husband Earl after his retirement from the federal government in 1991, living first in Powhatan for 10 years and in Midlothian since 2002.
A memorial service and interment will be held on Saturday, April 22 at the Rockfish Cemetery in Wallace, NC at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Community Hospices of America Foundation by visiting: www.legacy-hospice.com
