Margaret Theresa Riegel

Margaret Theresa(Peggy) Riegel was born on September 25, 1927 in Queens, New York, one of 8 children on John Silk and Mary (Walsh) Silk. She graduated from Bryant High School in Queens, New York. She worked as a bookkeeper prior to starting her new career of raising her two children. Peggy was married on October 8, 1949 at St. Sebastian's Church in Woodside, New York to her husband William Eugene (Bill) Riegel. They shared a wonderful life together and had just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary together last October. In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her two sons-Daniel(and Janis) of Midlothian, Va and William Jr. (and Sandy) of West Islip, New York. She was blessed to spend time with her 6 wonderful grandchildren, Jamie(Stephens), Lisa (Pontius) and Jason, Laura, Kevin and Hannah Riegel. She also had the pleasure to get to know her great grandson, Nolan Stephens. She was loved by all and we will all truly miss her.
