She was born on December 5, 1938, to Agnes and Mauritz Gunneson in New Haven, Connecticut and was raised with older siblings, Margot and Bernie. Nancy graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1956. After graduating from business college, Nancy worked for ten years in the Yale University Admissions Office.
In 1971, Nancy married Ernie Wiedemann and moved to Richmond, Virginia. They raised three children in Midlothian. In addition to her love of road trips across the United States, Nancy enjoyed reminiscing about her journeys to Sweden and her family there. Most of all, Nancy always loved and made time for her husband, children, family and friends. She was surrounded by love.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Ernest; her children, Christine, Daniel, Susan and Todd Diamond; and her sister, Margot Dillon.
The family will receive friends and family from 2 – 5 pm on Saturday, September 17 at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel.
