Patricia Winfree Hamner, 64, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord August 15, 2007. She was a preschool teacher in the Richmond area and was a devoted wife and mother to her husband of 46 years, James L. Hamner Jr.; son, J.L. Hamner III and his wife, Sarah; daughter, Rebecca H. Lee and her husband, Barry; son, William W. Hamner; granddaughter, Nisi Grace Lee; sister, Sally W. Lautenslager and her husband, Evrette. Mrs. Hamner was a member of the West End Assembly of God. She will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
