She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Anthony Colella, Jr. of Littleton, MA; her sisters, Lucille Wyer of Billerica, MA; and Ann Marie Hagerstrom and her husband, John, of Seabrook, NH; her children, Scott and his wife, Kim of Midlothian, VA; and Lorrie and her husband, Dren of Alameda, CA; her cherished grandchildren, Ian, Simon, Sam, Ella, Maddox, Rhys, and Aidan, whose adventures brought her great joy; and her many cousins, nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
Pat was born in Cambridge, MA, on St. Patrick’s Day, 1942, a fitting birthday for a proud Italian who wholeheartedly embraced her honorary Irish spirit each March 17th. She was raised in Billerica, MA and graduated from Billerica Memorial High in 1960. She and Len married and raised their family in Enfield, Connecticut, where they built a life rich in friendship with their “Hockey Crew.” Pat worked for many years for the Casual Corner Group, Inc. as an administrative assistant to the buyers. Later, she moved to Port Orange, Florida, to be close to her sister Ann, and eventually settled in Midlothian, where she thoroughly enjoyed becoming a beloved part of Kim, Rhys, and Aidan’s daily lives.
Pat dedicated more than a decade to volunteering with the nonprofit Connor’s Heroes as well as Johnston Willis Hospital. She also loved taking classes with friends at the Lifelong Learning Institute and gathering for her much-loved Bunco games.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Boston, MA area at a later date.
