

KEMPER, ROBERT FRANKLIN, SR. 78, of Midlothian, VA went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Millie, of 53 years, a daughter, Linda Joan Kemper Tedrow, and her husband, Charles Tedrow, of St. Clair, MO, a son, Robert F. Kemper, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Petersburg, VA, four grandchildren, Chad Tedrow of St. Clair, MO, Tiffany (Tedrow) Wright and her husband Joshua Wright of Cincinnati, OH, Kristi Kemper of Pensacola, FL, and J. D. Kemper of Petersburg, VA; and two great grandchildren, Alaina and Braylon Wright of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by one brother, Rev. John Kemper and his wife, Shirley of Longmont, CO, and four sisters: Lillie K. Payne of Woodstock, VA., Eulalia French of Longmont, CO, Dorothy Kemper and Helen Runion and her husband, Paul Runion of Ruther Glen, VA, two sister-in-laws, Joan Kemper of Leesburg, VA and Ardis Kemper of Crestview, FL, along with a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Helen Kemper and two brothers, Harry and Jim Kemper. Robert was a faithful member of Clover Hill Baptist Church in Richmond, VA for the last 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army from l954 - 1956. Mr. Kemper retired from Virginia Power Company on August 31, 1992 as a Senior Inventory Analyst in the Nuclear Materials Management Division. He was a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and was also a former pastor and served in churches in MO and VA. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the following caregivers: Members of Clover Hill Baptist Church, Dr. Philip Morrissette of Midlothian Family Practice, Dr. John Hennessey of Associated Neurologists, Dr. Laura Aisenberg of Chippenham Family Practice and the caring staff at the Laurels of Willow Creek. The family will receive visitors at the Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113 on Wednesday, Dec. 8th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9th at 1:00 PM at Clover Hill Baptist Church, 3100 Courthouse Road, Richmond, VA 23236 with the interment at Dale Memorial Park, Newby’s Bridge Road in Chesterfield, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Women’s Missionary Fellowship, Clover Hill Baptist Church, 3100 Courthouse Road, Richmond, VA 23236.
