SEATON, Robert Christian "Chris" Jr., 71, of Richmond, Va., passed away October 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frances Shiflett Seaton; three daughters, Kathy Seaton Berry and her husband, Ashley, Evey Seaton Browne and her husband, Charlie and Holly Seaton Moore and her husband, Sean; two brothers, James R. Seaton and Richard D. Seaton; eight grandchildren, Liam, Cole and Laney Berry, Rylie, Lilly and Sydney Browne and Emma and Abby Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.
Chris was a graduate of Mars Hill College in Asheville, N.C., of which he was very proud. He was a retired teacher with Chesterfield County Public Schools after 36 years of service. His last 25 years were with L.C. Bird as one of the original teachers there. Chris was a longstanding member of the Willow Oaks Country Club, where he coached the swim team. He loved the time spent on the Rappahannock River after his retirement.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., where a Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, October 9, at 2 p.m. Online condolences woodyfuneralhome.com
