

GARTHRIGHT, Sally Chambers, age 61, loving wife, mother, grandmother and longtime resident of Midlothian and Cobbs Creek, Va. passed away after a long-term illness on Friday, April 8, 2011. Sally was preceded in death by her dedicated husband, Edward Vaughan Garthright. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Robin Bunster and husband, Mark, of Lake Oswego, Ore., Katherine Garthright of Midlothian, Va. and Blair Hannon and husband, Bobby, of Hot Springs, Ark. and the lights of her life, her five beautiful grandchildren, Edward Tucker Rudisill, Maximilian Vaughan Bunster, Payton Blair Rudisill, Anne Gregory Bunster and Hannah Michelle Garthright. Sally is also survived by three siblings, Mike Chambers of West Palm Beach, Fla., Sandy Vale of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Dennis Chambers of Cocoa, Fla.
Sally was born in Portsmouth, Va. She was the daughter of the late Helen Chambers of West Palm Beach, Fla. Sally graduated from Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Va. and was once an avid tennis player and had a great love of interior design.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where her funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 15. Interment Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cumberland Courthouse, Va.
