COVER, Sheila Camire, 63, of Richmond, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on May 20, 2018. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Sheila is survived by her husband of 34 years, Terence (Terry) Cover, three children, Kathryn (Katie) Hamner (Chris), David Cover (Amanda), Sarah Cover, 2 granddaughters Reese and Brooks Hamner, mother-in-law Floy Cover, siblings Ann Allen, Andrew Camire (Kathy), Martha Murdock (Richard), Peggy Huber (Steve), and Ellen Thornhill (Matt), 15 nieces and nephews, and nurse/family friend Hazel Snead. Sheila is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Jean Camire, and father-in-law David Cover. After graduating from VCU, Sheila worked at the Richmond Times-Dispatch and then began her 32-year career with Altria, retiring in 2012 as a Senior Logistician. Sheila devoted her life to her family-raising her children, caring for her parents and in-laws, and most recently helping to care for her granddaughters. She will be remembered for many things but perhaps most for her generous heart, sense of humor, and faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive, North Chesterfield, VA 23235. A visitation for friends and family will occur just prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Internment private.
