Susan Roy Koons

KOONS, Susan R., 87, of North Chesterfield, passed away peacefully August 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Henry B. Koons. She is survived by her sons, Robert H. Koons and Stephen R. Koons; and daughter, Deborah K. Whitener; grandchildren, Douglas R. Koons, Amanda C. Grimsley, Elizabeth K. Koons, Andrew S. Koons and Zachary A. Koons. Susan, a graduate of Elmira College, was a homemaker and hospital volunteer and especially enjoyed her grandchildren, travel and gardening. A member of Salisbury Presbyterian Church, she loved singing in the Jubilation Choir and participated in the women's circles. A memorial service will begin 11 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Salisbury Presbyterian Church, 13621 W. Salisbury Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23113.
