I hurts so much, I can't imagine life without Aunt Gennie.  If tears could build a staircase to Heaven, I would climb up and bring her back, but I know it was our Heavenly Father's timing to take her on Mother's Day.  Aunt Ginnie will never be forgotten, I became a nurse and wanted to be just like her.  I couldn't even come close, God knows I tried my best.  I know you went to the Mansion Just Over The Hilltop.  Rest in peace, my precious angel, I will see you,Uncle Garnett, my mother, my father, my brother, neices and nephews, other family members again someday.

Aunt Ginny was my inspiration throughout my life.  She is the reason that I became an attorney.  She used to take my sister and I for long visits every summer, either to her house or to her trailer at Buckroe Beach.  I loved taking her to the family gravesite in Buckingham and listening to all of her great stories.  I am greatful that my husband, children and I were able to visit with her last summer.  By all her nieces and nephews Aunt Ginny was dearly loved and our "second mom." All through the years she has been such a strength and example for us.  I think that is one big reason for becoming a nurse. The last time I saw Aunt Ginny she was so wanting to be with Uncle Garnett that I know today she is happy again. For all the Hazelwood nieces and nephews we wish to express our deep love and admiration for this beautiful lady. PARR, Virginia Crews, 94, passed away on May 8, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Garnett Parr; as well as six sisters and four brothers. Virginia is survived by several loving nieces and nephews. She was loved by everyone who met her. As a nurse, she dedicated her career to caring for others. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and having fun. She was an amazing lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to her loving caregivers provided by Toni Nash at Always There Companion Care Service. A funeral service be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bowling Green. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, Va. 23220. Aunt Jenny will be missed and remembered by so many, many people. She was always so caring and loving.  I will never forget all the times we were together especially when I was three years old.  I love you, Garnette

Aunt Ginny will be greatly missed and always remembered by the Walkers.

She had a vivacious nature and carried her youthful spirit throughout her life. There were plenty of laughs whenever Aunt Ginny was in the room. Her kindness, compassion and consideration for others were heartfelt aspects of her magnetic personality that made her loved by all.
