William "Bill" Lamberta

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lois Lamberta. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; his children, Billy (Jess), Katie (Jamie), Jessica (Manuel) and Jenny. Bill was also "Papa" to his two grandchildren, Vienna and Sebastian. He is also survived by his three brothers, John (Dale), Peter (Pam) and Geoffrey (Chris); and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill was a Project Manager/Superintendent in the construction industry. He was a master carpenter who enjoyed renovating his homes. He also enjoyed darts, days at the beach and watching his beloved New York sports teams, the Yankees and the Giants. Bill joined the Marines in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War, earning both the National Defense and Vietnam Service Medals, as well as the Rifle Marksman Badge. As a philosophy major, Bill was known to have spirited debates with whoever was nearby. Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, from 10am-12pm at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. Interment will be held at 2pm at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Courthouse, 23002.
