Zelma Irene Kangas, 69 of Midlothian, went to be with Jesus on July 4, 2015. She was born to the late Louis and Alberta Fox on February 1, 1946, in Brown County, Indiana. Zelma was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker for most of her life with her family being the center of her joy.
Zelma is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years David Kangas, her children David Devry (Laura) Kangas, and Kristen (Jeff) Singley; her grandchildren Luke and Brady Kangas; Owen, Alison, and LilyAnne Singley; and her sisters Julia Vickers, Fay Carlin, and Kay Kinser, all of Indiana.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA. There will be a Celebration of Life at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 1401 Old Hundred Road on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 12:30pm. Donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
