Betty Llou Matlock

Betty L. Matlock, 86 of Midwest City, OK, passed away October 29, 2015. She was born August 27, 1929 in Cement, OK to parents Ivan and Flora Mae (Jackson) Heavin. Betty was raised in Cement, OK, and she and her family were members of the Church of Christ. On Christmas Eve, 1947 Betty married Charles Matlock and in December 1964 Betty and her husband Charles moved to Midwest City. Betty was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandkids.

Betty is preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Lemon; her daughter Karen Sue; one infant brother, and her niece Sherry Dorsey.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles Matlock of the home; her three children, Donald and Sue Matlock of Anadarko, OK; Linda and Leland Spoon of Chickasha, OK; and Charles Matlock, Jr. of Midwest City, OK; a brother, Wayne Heavin; six grandchildren, Melody Hightower and her husband Keith, Sonya Stephens and her husband Mike, Juanita Spoon, Michelle Matlock, Melissa Matlock, and Ivan Matlock; Nine great-grandchildren, Jerod Spoon, Jeremy Spoon, Brandy Hightower, Kody Hightower, Derek Stephens, Devon Stephens, Hobie Stephens, Brendon Taylor and Brittany Taylor; one great-nephew, Mike Dorsey and his wife Kelly; two great-nieces, Kim Bowerman, and Tammy Remy and her husband Victor; great-great-grandchild, Sayer Bo Belt.

Graveside services will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Cement Cemetery in Cement, OK with Lynn Walker officiating.
