Betty Jo Smith

Betty Jo (Doss) Smith born in Shawnee OK in 1935 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 21, 2014. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953 and went on to attend Abilene Christian College. Betty’s contributions included raising a wonderful family, running many small businesses and finishing her career in insurance. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Dolly Mae Doss and Wallace M. Doss, brother, Wallace Doss, Jr., and sister, Donna Lea (Doss) Wilson. Betty is survived by her children, Ronald D. Smith, Jr., Julee L. Fluker and Stewart “Scott” Smith, also beloved step sons, Victor S. Smith and Kelly J. Elerick; grandchildren, Ava and Alexander Smith, Kimberly (Fluker) Benjamin, Molly and Finley Smith, Jacob, Ana and Lee Smith, Kasey, Kameron and Kris Elerick; Great-Grandchildren, Landon and Ella Benjamin and also her very dear cousin, Lucy Smith and husband, Weldon, her god children Hannah and Jerri Nation. Funeral Services are Saturday, December 27th, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Paylor Family Funeral Care with reception to follow. Interment will be at 4:00 pm at Chapel Hill Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City, OK
