

Josephine M. “Jo” (Vilkauskas) Fleming passed from this life December 13, 2014. She was born in Mount Carmel, PA on March 15, 1934 to Alexander and Monica (Paliokas) Vilkauskas. Jo attended Holy Cross Catholic School in Mount Carmel through the 8th grade, then went on to graduate from Mount Carmel High School. Shortly after, she married her beloved husband and settled in Oklahoma. Jo was a very hard worker and was a waitress at the Sleepy Hollow restaurant in Oklahoma City for 38 years. She was also a longtime patron of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Jo was also known for her love of painting, going to garage sales, crocheting, and knitting. She was also an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Matt Fleming; sisters, Ann Bendrick and Gen Recla; and brother, Vince Vilkauskas.
Jo is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard Fleming; sons, Tom Fleming (Lisa), James Fleming (Candy), Bryan Fleming (Tammy), Francis Fleming, and Edward Fleming (Xing); grandchildren: David, Josh, Kristin, Monica, Erin, Ryan, and Francesca; sisters, Madge Bolton and Leona Toomey; cousin, Father Edward Vilkauskas.
Wake service will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 17 at the Paylor chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 PM Thursday at St. Philip Neri, with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Paylor Family Funeral Care, Midwest City, OK.
