Mary Amanda Watkins

Mary Amanda Watkins, 87, went to be with her Lord & Savior on April 4, 2013. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Mill Creek, Oklahoma to the late Eddie D. and Violet N. (Merryman) McCause. She was a loving Homemaker, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary loved to croquet and enjoyed ‘Find A Word” & crossword puzzles. Her favorite shows were NCIS, 24 and especially MATLOCK!!! She collected Teddy Bears for many years. Mary was always a very spiritual person, serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Vacation Bible School Teacher at Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene. She also was employed at Green Halls Bakery & Mary Mahoney Center, but her life’s passion was making a loving and beautiful home for her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Claud in 2006 and her daughter, Anita, in 2011. She is survived by daughters, Cynthia S. Alyesbury of Fort Worth, Texas, Teresa J. Henley of OKC and Pamela G. Singleton of MWC; Ten Grandchildren, 20 Great grandchildren and Four Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister, Louise Watkins, Brother, Gene McCause and Cousin, Nell Watkins and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Paylor Family Funeral Care, followed by burial at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City.
