It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Adrian Leonard Lockwood, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Adrian peacefully returned home to his Heavenly Father, our Savior and many loved ones on November 27, 2023, at the age of 88.
Adrian was born on March 15, 1935, in Salt Lake City, the son of Kors S. Lockwood and Gertrude Tuchel. Blessed with a loving and giving spirit, Adrian touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His journey through life was marked by love, and an unwavering commitment to family.
Adrian was fortunate enough to marry two special ladies. Adrian met his first love, Yvonne Wakefield, at a dance. Captivated by her red hair and beautiful smile, they were married on July 9, 1953, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they raised three children: Linda Montague, Steven Lockwood, and Larry Lockwood. Adrian and Yvonne created lasting memories camping near Roosevelt, Utah, and supporting their children in their various hobbies.
Yvonne passed away on November 27th, 1988 after her valiant battle with cancer. Adrian found love again with Blanca Margarita. They shared a loving and tender relationship, connecting over board games and fishing. Adrian was not only a loving partner but a skilled handyman who could fix anything, using his talents to help his extended family. His passion for music, especially country and jazz, led him to learn to play the harmonica, saxophone, and drums. In his later years, he discovered a hidden talent for art.
Adrian's magnetic personality drew people to him; he was a great listener who made everyone feel special. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Adrian served in various callings throughout his life.
Adrian is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Wakefield, his sister Mary Delka, his son Larry Lockwood, and his grandson Cameron Lockwood. He is survived by his loving wife, Blanca Margarita, his daughter Linda (Bill) Montague, his son Steven (Shari) Lockwood, grandchildren Bryan, Brett, Amber, Casey, Trevor, Michelle, Nicole, Nick, and Bronson, as well as great-grandchildren Kaden, Trace, Cole, Camrin, Ethan, Taylor, Avery, Mali, Audree, Kai, Blake, Zach, and Austin.
A small memorial service to celebrate Adrian's life will be held at Wasatch Mortuary on Monday, December 4th, at 12:00.
