Heaven gained a bright soul when Alexis was taken too soon from this life. Alexis shared her love and kindness in all aspects of her life, and with everyone she encountered. She was fiercely loyal, inexplicably brave, and lived life in good humor.
Alexis was born to Helen and James Albert on February 15, 1991 in Salt Lake City. She was raised in the valley with her two younger sisters, Allison and Bessie, who followed her wherever she went. Alexis graduated from Taylorsville High School in 2009 and proceeded to have many adventures throughout her adulthood with her family and friends. Her thoughtfulness and her playful spirit ensured that her life was filled with new experiences and good stories to tell later. One of her greatest joys was her nephew, JoJo, who always came running when she entered the room. She was his favorite auntie, who would dance all over the house with him and provide endless rides and entertainment.
Alexis is proceeded in death by her grandparents: Edwin and Grace Albert, great-grandparents, her special Aunt Dorothy Sumner, Uncle Lewis Albert, cousin Peter Vanikiotis, and other family members. We suspect that while she is watching over us, she is shuffling a deck of cards to play rummy with her Aunt Dorothy and Grandma Grace.
Alexis is survived by her parents: James and Helen Albert, sisters: Allison and Bessie Albert, beloved nephew: Jostein Atreus “JoJo” Reyes, grandparents: Bill and Irene Vanikiotis, the love of her life: Anthony Brito, and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Alexis's viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary on July 29th from 6:00-8:00pm, with a prayer at 7:00pm. Her funeral will be on July 30th at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Cathedral. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
