Donna Beth Rosenlund was born February 4, 1929 in Emmett Idaho to Nels and Rilla McConnell Rosenlund. She had two older half brothers, Vern and Jack. She passed away November 7, 2015 due to Parkinson’s Disease and age related infirmities. Her "kids", Scott and his wife Shiree were by her side.
Beth married Clinton H. Lundeberg in 1946. They raised their 3 children Carl, Janice and Scott in their Canyon Rim home. Clint and Beth later divorced. Beth married Ray L. Anderson in 1969 they spent 18 happy years together before his untimely death in 1987. Beth’s “Golden Years” were spent with her best buddy and traveling companion Charles H. Duncan. Chuck passed away in 2013.
Beth loved to travel, Hawaii and Alaska were her favorite destinations. She was very "crafty"; some of her favorite activities were sewing, needlework, ceramics and knitting. She was an excellent cook and made candy up until last Christmas. In their hey-day, Beth's flower gardens were among the most beautiful in Canyon Rim, she and Chuck would give Scott "helpful tips" on how to do this and that when he took over their care. Beth loved her grandchildren. She took excellent care of them, and was an excellent baby-sitter to them all. She taught them how to love animals, coloring, Peeps, See's candy, Oreos, weird sandwiches, and each other. Beth was very proud of the accomplishments of her progeny.
Beth was an animal lover, mostly cats (mostly Siamese), and one special dog, her Border Collie Sadi, who according to Beth was the smartest dog in the world. Beth trained Sadi to do many tricks, even to smile on command. Sadi's replacement, grand-dog Mazie and Sam, Beth's cat of 11 years miss Mommy/Gramma very much. The three of them would often sit in the sunny living room in the afternoons and watch the world go by.
Beth is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband Ray and daughter Jan (Dominic) Oliveto - Rock Springs, WY. She is survived by sons Carl (Jan) Lundeberg, and Scott (Shiree) Anderson - Salt Lake City; grandchildren Jenifer (Mark) Lockwood - Kenai, Alaska, Holly (Kris) Lundeberg - Salt Lake City, Corey Trujillo - Pinedale, WY, Karly Anderson - Brooklyn, NY and Jeremy Anderson - Salt Lake City plus 5 great-grandchildren (Tyler, Taner, Denali, Parker and Dawson); her step-daughters Dianna (Roger) Foster - Duschene, UT , Sheila Alplanalp - Elko, NV; and numerous other family and friends.
Scott and Shiree would like to express our deep gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at Highland Care Center and Hillside Rehabilitation. We couldn’t have made this transition without the awesome home health aides, nurses, therapists and administrators at Cornerstone Home Health and Hospice. Thank you so much for all you do. We would like to most fondly acknowledge Judy Countryman (who took care of Beth and her Mother), Amie Rosetti and Kerry Vance for their loving (and patient) care of Mom for the past several years and giving respite to us when we needed time off. We love you ladies!
