Bonnie Rae Vreeken

Bonnie was born July 4, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond LeRoy Stahl and Mary Yvonne James. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1962. Married Roger W. Vreeken in 1966, they later divorced. She spent many years working in the concession stands at the Salt Palace, Derks Field, Bonneville Raceway and the Fairgrounds. Most of her working career was with the Utah Department of Corrections, AP&P until she retired in 2011. It was there that she made many lifelong friends.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters Paige and Michelle. Her girls were her greatest joy, there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. She is also survived by her sister in-law Jolene Stahl and brothers Bob Stahl (Lanette) and Raymond Stahl (Terry). Also many nieces and nephews. She has been reunited with her parents Ray and Yvonne Stahl, her brother Gary Stahl, her sister Maryanne Cremer as well as many dear family members and friends. What a party.

Bonnie was the ROCK of our family. She always made sure family traditions continued and that everyone had their assignment. We will all miss the daily phone calls and long conversations. Her favorite place to be was the cabin. Being with family laughing, playing games, beating us all at 5000 and being one of the best partners at hand and foot. She was not only adored by her family but by numerous friends, neighbors and anyone who met her instantly fell in love with her. Bonnie's famioy would love to thank the doctors that took such good care of her...Dr. David Kuo, Dr. Donald Morris, Dr. Alireza Falahati and Dave Douglas.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 28th at 11a.m. in the Paradise Ward, LDS Church in Taylorsville, 1555 West Lovely Road (5090 South). Viewings will be held at the chapel Sunday evening from 6-8pm and Monday an hour prior to services. Burial will follow the funeral at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive.
