

Born September 11,1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah To Hal Ebert Staten and Mary Jean Barrett Staten.
Brent grew up in the Sugar House area, but spent a great deal of his time at the family cabin. He knew them hills better than most and loved sharing that with his boys. He had a great love for the outdoors; hunting, fishing and boating, where many cherished memories were made with his friends and family.
Brent had two sons before marying the love of his life Barbara, where he gained another son and they had one more together making their family complete.
Brent had such a great sense of humor and loved to joke with everyone, he was also a natural born story teller. He loved people and people loved him. This was very evident in his career, where he made many life long friendships, many he considered family. Brent started in the beverage business with Mac’s Drinks and found his place with Swire Coca-Cola, where he retired as the Key Account Manager with 20 years.

Brent is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Hille Staten of 36 Years, four sons Shane Staten, Jeffrey & Jessica Christensen, Chad & Megan Staten, Casey & Samantha Staten, Sister Karen & Gerard Morgan, 5 grandchildren, Jaeda, Brayden, Griffin, Tristen, and Aceson. He is preceded in death by his parents Hal and Mary Staten.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February ll, 2017 at 2:00PM with a viewing one hour prior at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, SLC. A viewing will be held Friday evening February 10, 2017 from 7:00PM-9:00PM at the same location.
Zions Bank has opened a donation fund for the family. Donations can be made at any Zions Bank branch under Brents name.
