

Burt was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah on May 23, 1920 to John Fredrick and Mary Ann Burton Larsen. He was raised in Mt. Pleasant and attended Snow College and the University of Utah. A veteran of WWII, Burt served at Camp Adair in Oregon and the South Pacific (New Guinea and Philippines) in intelligence and was honorably discharged in January 1946. Burt married Mary Louise Brown on September 19, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. He worked in the finance industry for 38 years and also served faithfully in callings in the LDS church, including 25 years as Wilford Stake clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; 3 daughters, Jeanie (Scott, deceased) Bowers, Patti (Joe) Scott, Shari (Mark) Gibbons; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vernon and Leo.
His greatest joy was being with his family. Burt’s health wasn’t the best for the past two years but he never complained. He always had a positive outlook on life. We as a family loved him dearly and will miss him so!
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford Ward chapel, 3179 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, UT. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
