Beloved husband, father and grandfather. Born December 1, 1932, went home to Heaven on November 29, 2015. Born in Salt Lake City to Henry Calvin Ensign and Susie Caroline Crouch. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Ensign, son Mark Carlson, son Dean Carlson (Anita), daughter Julie Cable (Glen), daughter Linda Delaney, son John Ensign (Shaun), as well as many beautiful and loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He worked his whole life as a ceramic tile setter and built beautiful wood furniture as a hobby. He will be missed and we know he is in a much better place.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held at 1 p.m. for those who wish to pay their respects. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. following a family prayer.
The family would once again like to express their gratitude and love to the caregivers at Willow Wood Care Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations toward funeral costs would be appreciated.
