

1931 ~ 2014
Carol Ann Linnebach Tycksen age 82, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on May 5, 2014 after a long battle with many health issues. She was born November 8, 1931 to Ethel and Arthur Linnebach in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married July 12 1950 and was later sealed to the love of her life (and caretaker for many years) Cecil Andrew Tycksen. Together they parented seven strong children (six boys and a daughter).Carol was a faithful servant of our Heavenly Father, a compassionate friend, a fearless defender of what she believed to be right, and a wonderful teacher to all who knew her. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She loved to study the scriptures and share her insights with anyone who would listen. She loved music and had a beautiful voice. She taught and lived emergency preparedness. She longed to witness the Second Coming of our Savior but will do so now from the other side of the veil. She was a friend to all and could easily strike up a conversation with anyone. She created many long and lasting friendships. Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years, six sons, and a daughter: Steven (Ruth), Susan Walker (Cortland), Brent (Marvele), Mark (Kim), Scott (Stefanie), Eric (Pam), Wade (Natalie), 39 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren, her brother Glen Linnebach (Beverly) and sisters Diane Bleckert (Max) and Maureen Gritton (Gerald). She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Lois Rampton (Charles), Gwen Cottle (Darwin), a brother, Gary, and a grandson, Justin Walker. A viewing for friends will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 Highland Drive) on Friday May 9,2014 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Union 3rd Ward (1410 East Creek Road) on Saturday May 10 2014 at 11:00 am with a family viewing at 10:00 am. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
