Our dearly loved son, brother, uncle and friend to many slipped the bonds of mortality due to an accident August 13, 2012. His love and kindness was a true gift to all who knew him and leaves a void in the lives of many.
Chad attended Olympus High School and graduated in 1990 and went on to attend Dixie State College in Southern Utah.
Chad was a genuinely kind, loving and generous person. He was very thoughtful of others. He loved to talk and laugh with everyone, especially his family.
He had a love for the outdoors, especially for the greens on the golf course. Playing golf brought joy and accomplishment into his life. He also loved to travel and explore new places. He had a special place in his heart for the national parks, especially the Grand Canyon which he would frequently visit with his family.
Chad loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He was known as the fireworks uncle because he loved to shoot them off with his nieces and nephews. He loved to watch their faces as they oooed and awed.
Chad loved music, especially the band RUSH. Chad and his brother Larry traveled to various cities such as Las Vegas, Boise and Phoenix as well as Salt Lake City to see their favorite band play in concert.
Chad was very loved and he will be greatly missed, but we know he is in the arms of other loved ones who have passed on.
Chad is survived by his parents, Wilburn C. West Jr, and Barbara B. West, sisters, Michelle West, Jenelle West Hiatt (Gregory) and brother Lawrence T. West (Shala), as well as many nieces and nephews.
